Electromagnetic Scattering by Metallic Targets Above a Biological Medium With a Spectral-Domain Approach

The scattering of a far-field source by perfectly conducting targets above semi-infinite lossy medium is studied. An analytical solution applied to the electromagnetic problem with Cylindrical Wave Approach. Interaction plane-wave field cylindrical expressed through expansions into waves, and spectral approach used deal interaction scattered interface. method allows modelling an external biological medium, in presence metallic objects. In numerical examples, electrical parameters muscle are model tissue. Application cases interest for total transmitted investigated both TM TE polarization states. Penetration evaluated, at ISM frequency 2.4 GHz millimeter range 28 GHz.
